Substance Use Counseling

Community Standards

Our Policies & Guidelines

QSS Studios is committed to maintaining a safe, peaceful, and supportive environment for every resident. These guidelines exist to protect and respect everyone in our community.

Substance Use Policy

QSS Studios maintains a substance-free environment to ensure the safety and wellbeing of all residents. Substance use of any kind is strictly prohibited on the premises.

1st Incident

Written warning issued; mandatory meeting with housing staff; possible referral to counseling services.

2nd Incident

Temporary suspension from common areas; reassessment of suitability; increased supervision and support.

Severe Incident

In cases involving threats, violence, or a medical emergency due to overdose: immediate temporary removal, director review, possible housing termination, and referral to emergency services or inpatient rehabilitation.

Smoking Policy

Smoking of any kind — including cigarettes, e-cigarettes, and vaping — is strictly prohibited inside any room or indoor area. Designated outdoor smoking areas are available for residents.

1st Violation

Verbal warning and guidance on designated outdoor smoking areas.

2nd Violation

Written warning issued and placed in resident file.

3rd Violation

Possible termination of housing agreement at management's discretion.

Pet Policy

To maintain a clean and allergy-safe environment for all residents, pets are not permitted at QSS Studios. However, we fully respect ADA guidelines regarding verified service animals.

Service Animals

Only verified service animals are permitted under ADA guidelines. Documentation of service animal status must be submitted at intake or upon arrival. Service animals must be vaccinated and remain under control at all times.

Emotional Support Animals

Emotional support animals are not permitted unless approved through a legal exception process. Please inquire with staff if this applies to your situation.

Violations

Unauthorized pets will result in removal of the animal and a formal review of the resident's tenancy.

Quiet Hours Policy

Quiet hours are observed daily from 10:00 PM to 7:00 AM. During this time, all residents are expected to keep noise to a minimum and respect their neighbors' right to rest.

1st Violation

A friendly verbal reminder from staff about quiet hours and community expectations.

2nd Violation

Written warning issued and placed on record.

Repeated Violations

Continued disruption may lead to a formal behavioral agreement or review of continued housing eligibility.

Termination of Housing Agreement

QSS Studios is committed to supporting every resident. Housing termination is always a last resort, and every reasonable step will be taken to resolve concerns before that point.

Grounds for termination may include: continued disruptive or dangerous behavior, repeated policy violations, property damage or theft, or sustained non-compliance with core supportive service participation.

Step 1

Incident is documented and reviewed by QSS Studios housing management.

Step 2

Resident is given the opportunity for a hearing or mediation to address the issue.

Step 3

If unresolved or behavior continues, a 30-day notice of termination is issued.

Emergency

In cases involving immediate threats or violence, removal is carried out promptly and authorities are notified. Supportive referrals will be made wherever possible to ensure a safe transition.
